How to take an attendance?
It helps you easily track and manage student attendance. You can access it by clicking "Class Sections" on the left navigation bar.
Here's what you can do:
Steps:
Click "Take Attendance" on the class section card.
In the pop-up, verify the date or click "Today".
(Optional) Assign points for attendance.
(Optional) Adjust the timer (default is 3 minutes) or disable it.
(Optional) Enable a passcode for students to use.
Click "Start" to begin the session.
During the session:
"Open for Students": Extend the session time if needed.
"Close for Students": Reopen the session by adding time.
"Finish": Ends the session and sends grades to the grade book. (You can edit attendance later, but students won't be able to mark themselves present anymore).
Steps:
Click "Take Attendance" on the class section card.
Select the past date.
(Optional) Assign points.
Manually mark each student's attendance (Present, Absent, Exempt).
*Note:
You can take attendance for multiple classes simultaneously.
If you don't "Finish" a session, you can resume it later in the day.
Sessions close automatically when the timer expires.
Timer and passcode options are not available for past dates.
From the Dashboard:
Click "Take Attendance" on the class section card.
Select the date.
Click "View Attendance".
Click "Edit Attendance" to make changes.
Click "Finish" to save.
From the Attendance Report:
Click "Report" on the class section card.
Select the date in the calendar view.
Click "Edit Attendance" to make changes.
Click "Finish" to save.
Use the filter icon to show only "Present", "Exempt", or "Absent" students. Filters update in real-time during live sessions.
Click "Report" on the class section card to view a detailed report.
Report Features:
Switch between class sections using the dropdown.
Search for specific students.
Sort attendance by name or classes attended.
Click on a date to view the summary and edit attendance.
